Ha preso il via oggi nelle acque di Porto Cervo l'Audi Coppa Europa Smeralda 888, regata organizzata dallo Yacht Club Costa Smeralda in programma dal 27 al 29 giugno. Mascalzone Latino ha esordito oggi in questa regata per la prima volta a bordo del nuovissimo monotipo Smeralda 888 di cui il team si ? da poco dotato. L'esordio non poteva andare meglio: Vincenzo Onorato e il suo equipaggio hanno vinto la prova odierna, battendo 12 team provenienti da tutt'Europa. ''E' una classe magnifica - ha commentato soddisfatto Onorato - la barca ? molto divertente''. La Smeralda 888, le cui dimensioni sono appunto pari a 8 metri e 88 cm, ? un'imbarcazione a deriva fissa zavorrata, armata a sloop e progettata dallo studio navale German Frers. Alfa Romeo 2 has been notching up wins since 2005, showing that she was perfectly planned from a technical point of view and that she still provides a cutting-edge sailing solution capable of top speeds, thanks to the performance of her very skilful crew. I'll be coming back to Porto Cervo at the beginning of September for another Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup. Some new and very fast yachts will be taking part, and so this promises to be a fantastic event with the highest level of competition. more »

Un desencajado Vascotto celebra el triunfo en Porto Cervo, más atrás se lo ve a Pedro Campos, empapado.
No hubo viento en Cerdeña hoy y aunque se intentó hasta último momento dar una prueba fue imposible y de esta forma quedaba todo como al día de ayer, con España ganadora delante de Italia y Alemania en tercer lugar.

Día de regata costera en las aguas color esmeralda de Cerdeña, recorrido de 30 millas a través de las islas de la Maddalena con un viento del NW de unos 15/20 nudos de intensidad. Buen día para el equipo italiano que se pone a tan solo un punto de España, lider del torneo.

Il vento ? arrivato da sud est nel primo pomeriggio e coi suoi moderati otto nodi ha consentito alle cinque squadre internazionali in gara di effettuare la regata di debutto della Sardinia Rolex Cup, giunta alla sedicesima edizione e valida per il titolo ISAF Offshore Team World Championship. L'evento sportivo, in corso fino al 21 giugno prossimo, ? regolato da una formula che riunisce nella stessa squadra di appartenenza tre equipaggi e relativi scafi: nella fattispecie uno Swan 45, un Transpac 52 ed un Farr 40. Una flotta di 15 imbarcazioni ? impegnata dunque per l'intera settimana nel mare antistante Porto Cervo e intorno all'Arcipelago della Maddalena. La regata odierna, come da programma, si ? svolta su un percorso a bastone lungo 7,5 miglia: unica partenza per tutte le tre classi coinvolte, stesso percorso e identiche condizioni ambientali.
