This photo taken from Race 4 is just unreal! I only thought you had to worry about dropping rigs?! To the far right of the picture you can see the Swimmer (aka Crew) while like any good Skipper he's going down with the Ship! No seriously, it doesn't sink but the Helmsman is in there holding on and actually rides the thing over when it flicks back up! What actually happens here is the boat rolls out while Gybing (or better known as Chinese Gybing) so far that the Mainsail does'nt come across and because these sails are so huge and booms so long they set forward of 90 degrees, therefor pinning the boat over, only once it tries to roll all the way over (capsize) does the Main collapse and allow the boat to upright. Impressive effort for a "Keel Boat"?I will try and load a Slide show of this event, if you've already seen it on Fried Elliots site you may also notice once the boat has come upright the forestay has broken and not up the luff of the jib anymore!
