Remember those old first generation IACC boats, France 2 and France 3 that were put out to pasture on the Solent crammed to the gills with gullible City boys who had been tricked into corporate days out and the opportunity to "work the coffee grinders"....well now somehow a genius yacht broker has flogged them to a Mexican Hotel chain, Logan Hotels, who have commissioned Ron Holland and my old muckers at Goodacre Marine to re-condition them and get them back their glory days. And what a great job they've done...they almost look worth sailing! As the press blurb says: "Goodacre's are handling the refit that involves repair, faring, spray topsides, deck, masts and booms, servicing/replacement of winches, engine work, electrics, new toilets. The boats are black topsides with silver style line, black antifoul and all else white Awlcraft." I expect Goodacre to be flooded with Jurassic IACC's anytime soon...there's plenty about!
