Lumpy but still amazing...
I just opened these photos and showed my office them, to be greeted by a chorus from the complete non-sailors of "wow, how does that work?" and "that is just so coool!" If this is what the non sailors say and also what us who missed the foiling generation say then surely this has got to be great for the sport? I have a belief that if you put the Moth in the Olympics then every paper in the western world would put the shots on the front cover. And that, in PR terms my friends, is what's known as a "result!" Great shots from Thierry Martinez of the foilers attempting the record on the "world" in Dubai. Apparently the best time was 1 hour 40 mins in some pretty testing conditions but I don't detect Rohan out on the water (I may be wrong)...perhaps he was waiting for some flatter water to beat his own record? Sounds like another case of: "it's not normally like this round here!" Photoset: Thierry 'the man' Martinez (www.thmartinez.com) Full Story »
