Cruising with Osprey: The highs and lows of Cruising
The photo above shows our new propane locker. It has taken us three days but finally everything is in place, secured and sealed. We hit several bumps in the road along the way - one of the more frustrating being that we "lost" the top half of a cable clam used to secure the wires to the solenoid as they passed into our vapor tight locker. The piece was nowhere to be found. I have to admit we both kind of blamed the other for throwing it away! (You can imagine how nice it was to be on Osprey this morning!) We finally went ashore and hunted through the garbage bin in the project room - we found the rest of our rubbish but not the cable clam. So we finally had to declare it AWOL and Tom cycled off to buy another one. All in all that little diversion took 2 hours!
