All-female Pindar 40 slows due to mainsail problem
Jo Royle (GBR) and Alexia Barrier (FRA) competing aboard Pindar 40 in the Transatlantic yacht race the Transat Jacques Vabre, have experienced problems with their mainsail overnight. Yesterday evening and 80 miles off Cape Finisterre, Spain, four of the ?cars', the fittings attaching the front of the mainsail to the mast of Pindar 40 pulled away from the mast, forcing the girls to lower the mainsail, whilst they fixed the fittings.
