Regatta rescue after squall
Irish emergency services successfully rescued over 100 children this afternoon after their dinghies were hit by a sudden squall. The children were competing in a junior regatta run by the Royal St George Yacht Club in Don Laoghaire. ‘Suddenly the wind blew up and visibility dropped and we had to get the kids out,’ Paula O'Connor, club administrator, told the BBC.
