Alinghi claims their prize
Some people were disappointed and some happy. There was a general mood of letdown as a seemingly underdog was beaten by the Swiss team Alinghi. New Zealand still got a good start and the speed was an even match. The boats were so close it was only the course positioning which really made the difference. New Zealand did cop a penalty at the wind word mark for not keeping clear in a dial down . In the end.... Alinghi has come away with the trophy and the questions about the next cup were foremost during the press conference at the end of the day.Two days time and Alinghi will come up with anwers.
