This years "must wear" fashion trend are PBO shrouds!!!I've taken the advice of Koos and ordered a set of PBO shrouds from Smart Rigging. "The shrouds have been based on a wire diameter of 1.8 mm. The set of stays weigh 67 grammes, now who wouldn’t want that?" They are massively lighter and stronger than wire, plus smaller in diameter so less drag too!!! Plus they're custom made to your exact requirements, so they are going to add some nice reinforcements where the spreaders meet the shrouds. Previously I was worried about spending loads and then having them wear out, but the reinforcement should protect them from wear and tear. I'm clearly a fashion follower (Scott's got a set down under), but any weight saved out of the rig is without doubt a good thing!
