26.6 KG excluding sail
Pretty impressed with the weight of the new boat. I chucked everything I had onto my mums electronic bathroom scales (hull, foils, mast, boom, tramps, racks spreaders, wire shrouds etc). Came out lighter than expected at only 26.6kg excluding the sail which is yet to arrive. Not sure how much one weighs, but I'm hoping under 3 kg.I'll do a full itemised weigh tomorrow evening and stick the details up here. Hopefully the boat will race light too. All the tubes are sealed, and I'm hoping they are water tight.Sail is getting sent tomorrow, so unlikely to be here in time for Wednesday when I planned to get the Dragon wet. Might be tempted to sail it Thurs or Fri weather dependant.Also need to source a couple of countersunk bolts to hold the foils together which were lost somewhere along the line. Full Story »
