Dalton arrives in Bilbao
Determined Kiwi sailor Graham Dalton, a competitor in the Velux 5 Oceans single-handed round the world race, which finished in early May, finally made it back to Bilbao this morning. Under the race rules, Dalton had been disqualified from competing in the final leg of the race, because he did not complete leg two of the race until after the expiry of a time limit. Dalton, who had dedicated his race to the memory of his son Tony, who died of cancer in December 2005, decided to complete the course anyway.
