The BOB Turns Two
Two years ago today we fired up the BOB and began posting. Who would have thought we would have had, in the meantime, nearly 200,000 visitors and an average visit length still hovering around two minutes? Certainly not your Ed., but the site meter confirms. For the record, in that time we have posted 922 stories along with over 2,000 images and videos. Magnus Wheatley recently called your Ed. the "Daddy of all [sailing] internet bloggers." I guess that was a compliment, though to be fair Sailing Anarchy really deserves that title, along, perhaps, with a few others. Regardless, it's tough getting old.... We happily confirm today that the BOB will stay on the air, or should we say wire, through the conclusion of the Cup -- indeed, until the end of July. After then, we shall see. Thanks to all involved for your help and support, including Jane Eagleson, Mirko Groeschner, Ralf Hussmann, Gilles Martin-Raget, Roland Neubauer, Anne Rohstock and Ivor Wilkins.
