A Lymington Venture Scout has experienced part of the Gipsy Moth IV circumnavigation of the world, sailing the famous yacht from Crete to Malta on the 27th Leg of the voyage. Project sponsors B&G; were able to offer a place on the boat, and picked a local group with connections to the sea. Seventeen-year-old Charlie Hatfield, a member of Lymington Venture Scouts, was selected by various Scout leaders due to his length of service, involvement and contribution to the troop.
