Syndicate heads Ernesto Bertarelli said he was pleased how everything had turned out and that there were as many people who turned out in the rain last night as there were in Auckland. He sidestepped all the questions posed to him for future events and wanted to concentrate on defending the Cup. Larry Ellison congratulated Ernesto on all he had done as being a success in Valencia and the fact that there were more countries involved and closer racing. Patrizio Bertelli of Luna Rossa was happy with the exciting racing and Germany as well with all the media coverage enough so that they confirmed their presence in the next cup.
