Laser Radial Olympic Pre-Trials - Day Two
Newport, RI 10-13-06 Friday the 13th was a chilly and eventful day for me, here in Newport at the US Sailing Olympic Pre-Trials Regatta for Laser Radials. A cold front came through in the small hours and delayed the start of our racing. When they finally got us under way in a light northwesterly I had a disastrous first beat and was lying in eighth or tenth place in fluky, shifty breezes until the race committee abandoned the race. I won the next two races to lead the series with a three-point margin with two days of racing remaining. Full Story »
