How long can a foreign sailing vessel remain in South Africa?
[Link] We have recently had an email from a friend in South Africa who has heard that sailing yachts staying more than 3 months in South Africa would be liable for import duty. We do know that foreigners may only stay for 3 months but believed that there was no restriction on the yacht itself. In fact, cruising friends stayed for over a year in South Africa in 2004.
