Tuesday 6/24: We sailed north out of Victoria with our friends Julie and Mike, destination...Ganges Harbor, Saltspring Island. We had a great afternoon sail...winds S-SW at 15 to 20kts. The first 3 miles was a beam reach with speeds 8.5 to 9 SOG. Turning north our speed slowed to 5-6kts SOG. Abeam Stewart Island we decided to motor the rest of the way because we got a late start and we wanted to arrive before dark. Had a great dinner under way...Chicken Quesa Dias with my fresh homemade salsa. Pulled into Ganges about 8:00pm, secured the boat...then hit Moby's for an adult beverage or 2...ok it was 3.
