We are leaving Valencia today for 10 days sailing in Qingdao. The Olympic Village is not yet open (Opens 27th July) so everybody is operating out of the Hinhai Yacht Club. Facilities are temporary but the good thing is the Marina is much closer to our Race Course so at the least the tow will be shorter (because there is no wind to sail out!!).Coach's Rod Davis and Mark Bradford will be there with us and a number of the other Star Teams will all be preparing over next week as well. Looking forward to getting over there to kick start the emotions of going to the Olympics.You may have seen the slight issue Qingdao is having with Sea Weed, the literally have to sweep the courses with giant nets every day!!! If not here's a pic of the WEEDWill be keeping you all up to date of the venue, conditions and prob the extreme heat....... and of course the sailing (wind pending) haha. Full Story »
